Ancient Places in Pleiades

An ancient place consists of associations between ancient names and ancient locations.

There are, at present, three ways to access records for the various places documented in the Pleiades dataset:

  1. Search: type an ancient or modern name into the search box located in the upper right-hand corner of most pages in the site. We also have an advanced search form.
  2. Browse thematically, via the categories listed below.

For the benefit of users, a single KML file (for google earth) containing all places in Pleiades (500+KB) is available for download: places-all.kml.

For the benefit of search engines, the entire (warning: huge) listing is here.
