Randomness!
In Browse by time period; The period "Late Antiquity" in the navigation box is a different colour from the rest of the time periods (blue instead of green). Why?
Green indicates the public draft state. Published stuff is blue.
Still moves incredibly slow, but maybe that is my computer.
You mean the pages load slowly? That's true.
One can navigate from the folder titled Atlas and is then given two folder options: map65 and BA65, What is the difference between these two. The second one does not seem to provide anything relevant, at least to my computer-inept mind. Perhaps we could explain what it is doing there.
I've fixed this issue on our beta site.
All of the entities entered in the folder for map 65 look great. Nice work Sean. I do have one suggestion. Since we have a method of searching by entity type (ie bridge, settlement, fort, etc.) why not create different icons for each type so that in a list such as this one could breeze through it and see the six or seven different icons and have visual representation of what each one means. Right now they all have that little blue Pleiades star, which is a great icon, but I think different icons for different entities would make it easier to navigate.
Agreed. We've got a ticket for this.
I think we need to be clearer about what we expect to find under each link. For example, http://icon.stoa.org/pleiades-beta/atlas/map-65/batlas-65-7-11/ now on this page we cleary have all the specific geographic data and a link, under the title "Historical Names", that will bring up the information I am gathering right now (?). I was not really expecting this. Perhaps we need to change the title "Historical Names" or at the very least explain what one would find there.
To follow on the previous, I assume that the at some point anyone will be able to add information to the categories under the Historical Names section (primary sources, secondary soucres, etc). How would one do this?
