Web Infrastructure
The Pleiades project web infrastructure consists of three applications:
- A content web site (Plone)
- A software revision control system? (Subversion)
- A bug/issue tracker and wiki? (Trac)
Users and Authentication
Users of these applications must be authenticated (aka "logged in") in order to
- Participate in the project's content provenance-assuring workflow
- Prevent web site spam
Nothing kills off participation more effectively than making users keep multiple logins, and therefore the Pleiades project needs a way to consolidate logins. Our effort to do so follows the plone.org recipe and is called the Pleiades Single Sign-on.
