The Proper Orthography of Karalis L.

In the directory for the Barrington Atlas Map 65 Karalis L. is listed as the ancient lake now located at Beyşehir Göl. The compilers have cited RE 2. This citations refers to the article written by Ruge in RE X, cols. 1926 - 1927. In column 1927 Ruge notes the existence of a lake called Κόραλις and cites Strabo. Smith, citing the same section of Strabo, offers Κώραλις. The compilers of Map 65 have labeled this lake 'Karalis'. The confusion appears to stem from the edition of August Meineke (1852). The latest edition of Strabo edited by Stefan Radt calls the place Κόραλις but cites in an apparatus at the bottom of the page that Meineke had Κάραλις. The edition in "Les Belles Lettres" series also has Κόραλις but makes no reference to Meineke's suggestion. Meineke's edition, unfortunately, does not include an apparatus

We therefore have three possible orthographies for what the compliers of the Barrington Atlas have called Karalis L. This is likely the result of corrupted manuscripts where the vowel must be deciphered.

Does anyone in the community know of any inscriptions that might corroborate one orthography or the other?

If not I suggest that we follow Radt's suggestion of Κόραλις.
